Member since 2020
I started working out at The Gym in 2020 on zooms during Covid. My household is very busy with two kids playing travel sports and lack of time was always an excuse to not get in a run or workout. When the world shutdown, I had no excuse. I needed to prioritize diet and exercise, as well as do something for myself. I heard wonderful things from friends about The Gym so I joined them. It turned out to be a life changing choice. My AHA moment was realizing that my mental health improved along with getting my body in shape. My workouts give me time to focus only on myself for one hour of the day. An even more significant AHA moment was when my daughter asked to start taking classes at The Gym. I realized the impact of being a role model for her as a strong, healthy woman/mom.
When I walk through The Gym door, it feels like a second home. The trainers and other members have become a family to me. The sense of community is unique and incredible. When I walk through the door, I know I will be both pushed and supported by my trainers and friends. Working out with like-minded people is super motivating. We support each other. It’s often the hardest but best part of my day!
If you are thinking of beginning your fitness journey, I would say gather the courage to walk through the door. Then, make that hour workout a non-negotiable time. You will never regret it. Taking an hour a day to workout will make you a better person, both physically and mentally. And you will have an entire Gym community to support you along your way. Call me… I will take a class with you!
